Mr. A.Q. Hamza, Group Director, International Trade Relations of Equity Group Holdings PLC, paid a courtesy call on Ms. Ruvini De Silva, Acting High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to Kenya, at the High Commission of Sri Lanka in Nairobi. Representatives of the Bouer Limited, the Connecting House also attended the meeting.
The discussion focused on preparations for Sri Lanka Expo 2027 and the forthcoming business briefing sessions scheduled to be held in Nairobi on 25 September 2026 and Mombasa on 02 October 2026.
During the meeting, Mr. Hamza expressed Equity Group Holdings PLC's interest in partnering with the High Commission for these initiatives and supporting Sri Lankan enterprises seeking to enter and expand their presence in the East African market. Discussions also explored opportunities to facilitate trade, investment, and business networking between Sri Lanka and East Africa through collaborative initiatives, including the support of the Bouer Limited.
The Acting High Commissioner appreciated the interest shown by Equity Group Holdings PLC and Bouer Limited in collaborating with the High Commission and emphasized the importance of strategic partnerships in promoting Sri Lanka's trade and investment interests across the East African region.
