International Trade Council Officials Pay Courtesy Visit to Acting High Commissioner of Sri Lanka
Dr. Tristan Evans, Chief Economist of the International Trade Council, and Mr. Derick Akubia, Executive Director of the International Trade Council Africa, paid a courtesy visit to Ms. Ruvini De Silva, Acting High Commissioner of Sri Lanka.
During the meeting, the officials discussed Sri Lanka Expo 2027, including opportunities for greater engagement and participation in the upcoming international trade and investment event.
Discussions also focused on the upcoming Sri Lanka Expo 2027 Briefing Sessions, scheduled to take place on 25 September 2026 in Nairobi and 2 October 2026 in Mombasa. The sessions are expected to provide stakeholders with further information on the Expo, its objectives, and opportunities for businesses and investors.
The meeting underscored the importance of strengthening trade, investment, and economic cooperation between Sri Lanka and African markets, with particular attention to opportunities for collaboration between Sri Lankan and Kenyan business communities.
