Acting High Commissioner Ms. Ruvini De Silva attended the Diplomatic Day of Daystar University as a panelist at the discussion themed “Shared Perspectives on the Blue Economy, Maritime Security, and Diplomacy: ASEAN, the Indian Ocean and Kenya.”
The event was also attended by the Ambassadors of Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines, as well as the Chargé d’Affaires of Thailand to Kenya, together with other distinguished dignitaries from Kenya’s diplomatic and academic communities.
As part of the day’s activities, Ms. De Silva also participated in a ceremonial tree-planting initiative on campus, symbolizing environmental stewardship and the shared commitment to sustainability.
In addition, she engaged warmly with the choir team, appreciating their musical performance and interacting with the students, which added a vibrant cultural dimension to the event.
The officials of the mission also hosted a booth during the Diplomatic Day.
